This position is accountable for ensuring accurate and timely processing of contracts, amendments and appointments in compliance with state and federal licensing rules and regulations. The incumbent must provide customer service oriented contracting services to the distributors and fellow employees of National Life Group, while supporting the company’s growth and expense management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates prospective agents qualifications to represent the company through thorough criminal and credit background review, as well as reviewing any state licensing regulatory issues; judgment is used to determine what requirements may be needed to process negative informationWorks with Recruiters, Marketing, GA’s, MGA’s, Office Managers and management to obtain appropriate support or release letters; notifies Legal and Marketing of issues or transfersGoverns the issuance of new business and payments of commissions until agents are legally licensed and contractedEvaluates and interprets state insurance regulatory requirements to ensure that all agents are in complianceEvaluates agent’s prior history with any of the company’s entities to determine eligibility for rehire or transferReviews vendor generated reports to determine if corporation is at risk by any regulatory actions against current agentsContinually make adjustments for changes in workflow and demand for services; find efficiencies and recommend improvements as appropriate Participates in cross-training within the unitNotifies field force of changes in state regulations concerning licensing for life, annuity, long term care, indexed annuities and variable productsEnsures ALC, AMS and payroll systems are correctly coded to reflect agent’s licensing status, commissions to be paid and companies representing to protect company and agent from state regulatory actions and penaltiesEnsure quality and time service standards are metParticipate in new distribution initiativesParticipate in process and efficiency improvement initiativesEnsures MAR complianceDirects web security access for agentsResearches errors and questions from producers; ensures timely response.Job Requirements
Qualified candidates will have 1-2 years experience in a home office or field office setting, preferably in the insurance or other regulated financial services industry; familiarity in dealing with state regulations, contracts, etc.High School Diploma, college degree preferredMust have an intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); mainframe processing, and the ability to utilize dual monitorsLOMA courses or related life insurance experience/training preferredAbility to meet established deadlines; must be able to work independently as well as being a team playerAbility to work in a fast-paced environment; strong interpersonal skills a mustEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of workMust be able to pass a background check that may include fingerprintingThe base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
