Clean Harbors is seeking a Lab Technician for our San Leon, TX location. The position is responsible for the analysis and storage of samples. You will determine their chemical and physical properties using a variety of techniques and instrumentation.

  • Performs analysis of facility samples using GCMS, XRF, ICP, and other analytical laboratory instruments
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed
  • Properly manage waste generated because of analytical procedures
  • Maintain a safe working environment that complies with all applicable OSHA regulations
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management   

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in a lab preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
  • Wet chemistry and sample prep a plus
  • Familiarity with instrumentation software
  • Ability to document, record, and analyze data accurately  
  • MS Office Suite – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Computer savvy
  • Must have excellent communication and organization skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Must be able to lift to 50lbs and climb stairs
