Operates variety of woodworking machines such as saws, milling machines, drill presses, lathes, shapers, routers, sanders, planers, and wood-fastening machines to fabricate component parts for assembled products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Fabricates wood parts for assembled products by using woodworking machines.
• Suggests changes in procedures, standards, to facilitate work and maintain quality.
• Read and comprehend work orders, written and verbal instruction and blueprints; identify part numbers.
• Preform checks to ensure equipment is in safe and working order; report discrepancies to department leadership.
• Uses gauges and other devices to verify conformity to stands of product being fabricated.
• Maintains good housekeeping in the workstation by following 5S standards and procedures.
• Complies with all safety and environmental requirements and reports all discrepancies to management.
• Regular and reliable attendance at job site is required
• Performs other duties as assigned.
