As a Intelligence Operations Specialist, GS-0132-14, your typical work assignments may include:
Evaluate the overall effectiveness and adequacy of the intelligence organization's operations in the light of its mission; and conceive and initiate developmental projects to accomplish the necessary improvements.
Under the supervision and direction of the CI Awareness and Reporting Team Lead, executes the DHS Counterintelligence Awareness and Reporting (CIAR) program to include the implementation of the CI Awareness Campaign Strategy goals, objectives and milestones, the implementation of the DHS CIAR Instruction and other guiding documents; the development and delivery of applicable CI training courses, curriculum and accompanying materials for the DHS CI Enterprise in conjunction with the Intelligence Training Academy (ITA); the successful execution of in-person, virtual or computer based training platforms; the development, tracking and monitoring of DHS Enterprise-wide performance metrics and effectiveness; and the establishment of internal and external CIAR procedural guidance.
Develop and maintain strong coordination and collaboration with senior leaders, counterparts, and colleagues throughout the DHS CI Enterprise to include representatives at ITA, other I&A mission centers, as well as DHS operational and functional components. Frequently represent CPD, I&A and DHS at interagency and intergovernmental teleconferences, secure video teleconferences, working groups and committees.
Supports CPD's overall programmatic efforts to improve the overall efficiency and impact of the Department's Counterintelligence Program.
Effectively engages with DHS HQ and operational components, as well as IC partners and their counterintelligence components to develop partnerships for execution or implementation of counterintelligence policies and initiatives. Interacts with senior level contacts for operational coordination, information sharing, and other matters of mutual or multi -jurisdictional interests.
