Overview

We are seeking a full-time Associate Sales and Project Manager in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting Sales Directors and National Accounts Sales Managers in selling our products and performing related duties.

Essential Functions

  • Assist Directors and National Accounts Sales Managers with sales/support duties
  • Set up new products for national retailers, submit/maintain product content necessary for retail web pages, and partner with marketing to obtain and maintain digital assets
  • Be the knowledge expert and authority in policies/procedures of Authorized Reseller and MRP Compliance
  • Administer both Authorized Reseller and Authorized Fitness Reseller programs and email inboxes
  • Develop/maintain effective internal/external relationships with key business partners
  • Support sales objectives of Garmin and establish/maintain dealer relationships
  • Prepare, maintain and deliver sales presentations for use in various applications
  • Prepare and maintain Garmin items and promotions in dealer portals and systems
  • Attend and coordinate trade shows, dealer events and retail training events and complete timely/succinct trip and status reports
  • Educate dealers on new/future products, achieve/maintain excellent product and pricing knowledge, and proactively monitor retailer stores to ensure MRP Compliance
  • Ensure that dealers are equipped for product transitions with item information, images and other set up items
  • Complete production and time management reporting
  • Provide dealer coverage when National Sales Managers are out of the office
  • Administer the Vector Online sales authorization process
  • Answer/handle internal or external customer Authorized Reseller inquiries via phone, fax and email
  • Research and resolve any customer complaint or concerns regarding the Authorized Reseller programs
  • Communicate with both Resellers and Garmin Distributors with the approval or denial of applications
  • Purchase Garmin devices that are not complying with the current MRP program guidelines
  • Track shipment of devices, serial numbers and condition in an internal tracking system
  • Work with Finance and Legal to develop new buying identities (min of 5) at least once a year
  • Coordinate return of purchased devices back into inventory
  • Reconcile at least monthly each corporate credit card ensuring accuracy of changes that have been made, assigning each charge to the correct cost center
  • Notify designated personnel of any ongoing concerns or suspected abuses of the MRP policies that might lead to adverse relationship with customer
  • May be assigned direct fulfillment accounts to manage
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field OR a minimum of 1 year experience in sales and marketing performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed past sales goals as a highly motivated professional
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated effective presentation skills to large groups
  • Demonstrated knowledge in outdoor and or technology marketplace
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle
  • Must be positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, analytical, team oriented and a multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize, manage time and work proactively/effectively in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment with excellent follow up skills/minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Personal experience in navigation products, hunting, hiking, and outdoor activities
  • Excellent product knowledge of communication and navigation systems
  • Business to business sales experience
