Summary

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Communications (OC), Call Center Operations Group, in the Division of Call Center Systems.

As a IT Specialist (Security), GS-2210-13, you will review, analyze, develop, publish, promote, and implement awareness of enterprise-wide HHS information technology (IT) security and/or system development life cycle (SDLC) policies and standards.



Duties
  • Drafts and issues policies and related standards in accordance with the Federal government requirements, guidance, and directives.
  • Develops and monitors progress against a program plan, which identifies program milestones and associated tasking and timeframes.
  • Prepares internal and external reports that may include providing audit liaison support to IT operations, such as the Federal Information Security Act (FISMA), Chief Financial Officer, and others as directed.
  • Monitors organizational, legislative, administrative, and technological changes that affect information systems' standards and related processes and impact upon future planning to meet the needs of the Agency.
