Could you be our next Perfusionist at Lankenau Medical Center?
As a Perfusionist, you would operate extracorporeal circulation equipment during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or replace the patient’s cardiopulmonary/circulatory function and ensure the proper management of physiologic functions by monitoring the necessary variables.
The Cardiovascular Perfusionist is responsible for the safe set-up and operation of all types of extracorporeal circulation, including long-term ECMO.
The Perfusionist should be knowledgeable and proficient in the use of Autologous Blood Salvaging, Platlett Gel Therapy, and Point Of Care Testing.
He/she should work with perfusion team to maintain all supplies and equipment on an ongoing basis.
The Cardiovascular Perfusionist should also serve as a source of information for the other medical departments and continuously try to improve the services of the department.
Recent experience in all aspects of cardiovascular perfusion preferred.
Current certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion required.
