JOB DESCRIPTION/POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for proper planning and estimating of man-hours on Work Orders received in Work Management department to include tasking, work instructions, cost estimates, man hour requirements, scheduling, and material requirements on Work Orders received. Responsible for reading detailed drawings to make labor estimates and material takeoffs. Responsible for all coordination of the tasking during the planning stages with other assigned crafts, engineering, and work requester(s). Assists Integrated Planning /Scheduling with the preparation of the near-term schedules. Plan and issue project schedules and material requirements. Follow weekly work schedules meetings and communicate status and/or potential project impacts. Provide input to management regarding problems such as cost shortages, design changes, backlogs etc. Responsible for coordinating all paperwork when a scope change is encountered by field personnel.

Prepare scope change requests in detail using established forms for submittal

Coordinates With Project Integration Office (PIO) Project Managers and analyzes delays in schedule, expedites any work activities requiring work packages that delay schedules, and coordinates schedule changes needed to encompass unforeseen conditions.

Coordinates work activities in a manner that ensures project resources are efficiently allocated to support applicable phases of operations

Coordinates timely development and release of work packages, task requests, and work orders to support the Task Order (TO) master schedule.

Monitors assignments to ensure that they are within the agreed scope, schedule and budget and that the work is being performed within outlined policies and expectations.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree or 4-7 years of equivalent work experience in a general construction field (Mechanical, Utilities, Electrical or Protective Systems).

Excellent written and oral communication skills
