Obstetrician-Gynecologist - Fraser Health- Burnaby Hospital

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Burnaby Hospital is seeking a permanent full time Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to join their group. The successful candidate will be a supportive team player across disciplines, a keen teacher of medical students, and interested in leadership, quality assurance and administrative roles. The ideal candidate will be interested in a general practice and be responsible for covering 1:6 calls (home call). The incumbent will be expected to apply for a Clinical Faculty appointment with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of British Columbia.

This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of collegial group of six obstetricians and gynecologists who work closely with excellent family practice and midwifery groups. The group looks forward to working with the successful candidate to deliver both maternity care and gynecology services to the expanding population in Burnaby.

Qualifications:

• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory
• Eligible for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC)

    Burnaby Hospital is a community 286 bed hospital with a Level 2 nursery (>32 week gestational age) and manages close to 1,400 births per year. ER, Anesthesia, pediatrics and obstetrics deliver 24/7 call services. The hospital provides an exceptional team that works well together in a collegial community setting. Significant investment and major redevelopment are in process at this hospital.
