The Content Intern supports the Content team with all phases of content planning, operations, production and distribution from August â May for both the Masters Tournament and Masters Tournament Foundation (MTF) events â including the Augusta National Womenâs Amateur, Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, Latin America Amateur Championship, and Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals. In this role, the Content Intern will have a direct impact on the operational and storytelling success of content production at the Masters Tournament and MTF events. The ideal candidate possesses baseline content production abilities, is detail-oriented and is eager to learn.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Supports social, digital and linear content planning, production and distribution in collaboration with various Content team teammates.
  • Assists with the retrieval and manipulation of photo and video content, under the direction of the Senior Manager of Digital Content, Masters Content Manager and MTF Content Lead.
  • Assists on-site production shoots and field surveys with various clients and vendors; accompanies outside groups while on-site.
  • Liaises with third-party broadcast and content production managers in lead-up to and during Tournament to support any needs or questions; Distributes Tournament-related materials.
  • Assists with the credentialing process for all content personnel for the Masters Tournament, Augusta National Womenâs Amateur and Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals.
  • Supports all facets of logistical operations of the Content Center during the Masters Tournament, Augusta National Womenâs Amateur and Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals.
  • Takes notes in weekly and bi-weekly team and vendor meetings.
  • Physical demands are outlined immediately below.

Physical Demands

  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
  • Occasionally required to walk and work with hands and arms, lift up to 25 pounds and/or drive a golf cart.
  • Constantly required to sit, sometimes for several hours at a time, and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Qualifications:

      Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:

  • Knowledge and understanding of content production for both digital and broadcast
  • Knowledge of television, streaming services, and their respective users
  • Knowledge of content management systems and social media publishing platforms
  • Familiar with multimedia content production techniques, including photo, video and design
  • Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Innovative thinker with ability to efficiently solve problems
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to assess digital and broadcast content performance
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Deep understanding of golf, Augusta National, and the Masters Tournament

Relative Experience/Education:

  • Currently enrolled or a recent graduate in an accredited college or university with junior or senior class standing in a Bachelors program, preferably in Business, Sports Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Film and Television Production
  • Experience in sports information/administration, production, media relations, communications or journalism is preferred

Required License(s):

  • Possess a valid driverâs license and/or successfully completes the Clubâs internal motor vehicle training program

Projected Work Schedule:

Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

This position is eligible for housing provided by the Augusta National Golf Club.
