A local family-owned meatpacking company in Hilo is looking for a Meat Packer to cook and pack meat products.

The ideal candidate will have previous meat processing/cooking and/or hunting experience.

Hours Full-time, Schedule varies between 5:00am-6:00pm Location Hilo, Big Island Pay $17 an hour Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook and shred kalua pig
  • Label bags and boxes.
  • Pack meat products in bags and boxes for wholesale and retail.
  • Daily clean-up of machines and production area.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • Meat cutting skills are preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.
  • Must be able to work on a team in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Able to work in a cold environment since much of the job will be in a walk-in freezer.
