Soil Conservationist

Provides technical leadership to carry out various types of complex natural resource conservation programs, ensuring conservation goals are effectively and efficiently achieved for the Conservation Reserve Program.
Provides direction to landowners and operators, individually and in groups, to develop a wide variety of conservation plans according to established policies and procedures and in accordance with landowners' decisions.
Provides expertise in program management, training, and quality control for NRCS Farm Bill Programs and other programs as they are legislated to the technical office and field offices.
Recommends changes in technical guides and collects data necessary for their development for the use of field offices in administering programs.
Will coordinate Conservation Reserve Program activities for NRCS.
