Locums Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with ICU capabilities to join our healthcare team in West Branch, Michigan. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to inpatients, including those in the ICU, at our 86-bed facility, which includes 10 ICU beds. The ICU acuity is generally low, but the ability to manage critical care cases is required. In this position, you will be responsible for managing in-patient care, which includes handling 3-7 admissions per night and rounding on 15-20 patients during each shift. You will perform various ICU procedures, such as indirect laryngoscopy intubation, insertion and management of central venous and arterial catheters, moderate sedation, lumbar punctures, endotracheal intubation and extubation, ventilator management, chest tube insertion, and tracheostomy care. You will utilize EPIC and Dragon for documentation and patient care management.
Schedule:
The position follows a 7 on / 7 off schedule, working Monday through Sunday,
from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Qualifications:
· ACLS and BLS certifications required.
· Proficiency in EPIC and Dragon systems.
· Experience in critical care procedures, including ventilator management, arterial line insertion, and CVC line placement.
