Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Product Margin Planning and Costing Finance team. This person will play a key role in helping Converse build, execute, and manage strategies & business plans that drive profitable, sustainable, and brand accretive, growth. This person will perform structured as well as ad hoc analyses striving to deliver financial insights that aid in decision-making in order to shape the future of Converse. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who possesses outstanding Excel skills, is innovative in nature, and has a strong desire to learn and enact change across the business.

[ads1] Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide thoughtful analysis and commentary that drive and facilitate decisions through the product creation process to deliver design’s vision, athlete performance and Converse’s profitability expectations
  • Partner cross-functionally to model out impacts to costs in a long-term margin plan, and provide margin targets for both Footwear and Apparel by franchise
  • Be a thought partner to the organization and educate teams on use and interpretation of margin reporting and other measures of success from across the business
  • Continuously look at opportunities to optimize processes and models used, to provide more timely and relevant insights across
  • Define, measure and track the financial impacts of product strategies and initiatives
  • Be a business partner to the Product Merchandising team to elevate Gross Product Margin (GPM%), through product creation milestone reporting
Job Requirements:
  • Intrinsic desire to learn and deliver insight
  • Proven track record leading quantitative analysis and building financial models
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field with emphasis in finance, accounting, or economics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to effectively communicate in a simple manner across management levels and cross-functional teams
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a desire to solve complex problems
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, cost or lean accounting and/or revenue and margin planning
  • Proactive and positive attitude who works well within a team and has a with passion to drive operational results
