PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT 

Serves as the Precision Technology intern under the direction of the Sales/Marketing Manager, assists with general Agronomy and Precision Technology functions. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

-Assist with the usage and implementation of Advanced Information Systems like CLIMATE, MiField, mavrx, Precision Planting, and additional GROWMARK Agronomy applications. 

-Serve as a support resource for all Agronomy’s precision farming products. 

-Hands on experience in agronomy field. 

-Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair. 

-Operate crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting. 

-Assist in the application of crop nutrition and crop protection products as needed. 

-Visit FS locations and customers building professional relationships. 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS 

-Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. 

-Performs all other duties as assigned. 

REQUIREMENTS 

-Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college or university and in good academic standing at time the internship begins. 

-Demonstrates ability to work independently. 

-Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. 

-Frequently required to life 51-70 pounds as needed 

-Potentially exposed and required to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wet, etc.) as well as working at various heights or elevated platforms 

-Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed 

-Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position

If you enjoy being outside and are interested in gaining hands-on Precision Technology experience, then we can’t wait to talk to you  We are looking for a Precision Technology Intern that is eager to go above and beyond helping our customers.   A few key areas of emphasis include: 

-Assist with the usage and implementation of Advanced Information Systems, CLIMATE, MiField, mavrx, Precision Planting, and Scout Pro. 

-Serve as a support resource for all Agronomy’s precision farming products. 

-Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair. 

-Visit FS locations and customers building professional relationships. 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE 

-You are pursuing a Bachelor's Degree at a 4-year university  

-You are currently in your junior year  

-You are in good academic status
