Job Summary

As the HVAC/Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, kitchen refrigeration systems, and other equipment related to hotel operation systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your role involves diagnosing system malfunctions, performing routine maintenance, and addressing repair needs in a commercial setting. You will work with a variety of HVAC equipment, including boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, chillers, cooling towers and other ventilation systems, while adhering to safety standards and local codes. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this role.

Job Duties

Repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heaters, ventilation systems and other equipment. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with HVAC systems and implement effective solutions. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job. Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations, including EPA guidelines for refrigerants. Respond to emergency repairs promptly and work efficiently to resolve issues. Work closely with other technicians, supervisors, and other departments to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HAVC training program or apprenticeship preferred. Proven experience as an HVAC Technician/Mechanic; 2-5 years. Valid HVAC certification preferred Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in using HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Position requires regular, reliable attendance. Good team spirit.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces. Requires manual dexterity.  Must be flexible to work any day of the week, weekends, and holidays if assigned.
