Data Analyst - Fundamental Equity Investment Professional Development


The Role

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Fundamental Equity Investment Professional Development team at Schonfeld. You will have a passion for the investment management industry, a strong technical background and a process driven approach. You will create strong relationships with our Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and internal stakeholders (Business Development, Risk, HCM, Technology) and be able to communicate effectively with others.                   

What you’ll do 

This individual will work with our Fundamental Equity Analysts to enhance alpha returns through best-in-class programming, research tools, and resources. This person will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high quality data analysis for PM & Analyst consumption
  • Developing analytics to measure, assess and further leverage our Investment talent
  • Building decision support tools (through PowerBI and Streamlit) for business stakeholders and management
  • Working directly with Technology to design, test, and manage our PM toolkit
  • Defining and managing technology deliverables while monitoring platform adoption
  • Preparing dashboards and ad-hoc materials in advance of meetings with Analysts/PMs
  • Helping with data analysis of investment performance

What you’ll bring

  • Strong technical background in Python & SQL
  • Experience within sector data analysis
  • Demonstratable experience in the investment management industry
  • Demonstrated comprehension and passion for global financial markets
  • Experience and/or detailed understanding of the fundamental investment process
  • Experience and/or proficiency in creating performance analytics and reports
  • Strong communication skills

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $100k and $150k. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
