Serves as advisor and technical expert on all safety program, compliance issues, and activities at a multi-purpose hydropower project.
Develops, maintains, and manages site-specific safety programs such as: confined space; ergonomics; fall protection; medical surveillance; respiratory protection; risk management; industrial hygiene and occupational exposure; etc.
Performs studies in which the level of Project compliance with safety and occupational health requirements are evaluated, and when necessary, develops changes in Project policies or procedures to ensure compliance with safety and health requirements.
Oversees an extensive medical surveillance program for Project employees - evaluations may include, but are not limited to noise dosimetry, air and bulk sampling, and other evaluations as required (lead, asbestos, Chromium VI, etc.).
Ensures that Position Hazard Analyses (PHA) are developed and provides input and review for Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA) when requested.
