Primary Purpose

To experience Mountaire's culture first-hand and provide additional exposure of Mountaire's family-oriented work environment. Fulfill all designated duties within each specialized area of operation for the duration of the internship. This program is intended to provide learning opportunities by working hands-on with mentors and completing assigned projects. The Intern will explore options for language solutions throughout HR and the business. Examples of areas to address include; Orientation, Onboarding, Monthly Safety Training, Medical, Benefits, Learning Content, etc. Overall project support to include HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and Learning as needed.

Primary Project 

  • Work/Meet with representatives from all departments across the organization
  • Review current practices in place
  • Identify gaps in current processes
  • Analyze data and information to come up with solutions

Duties/Activities Required by Job

  • Complete assigned project identified by department mentor
  • Attend weekly seminar series across different Mountaire facilities    
  • All interns must be available to travel to Delaware during the last week of the program for final presentations (August 5 - 7, 2025)
  • All interns are required to complete a 10 minute presentation on their project at the conclusion of summer. Presentations will take place in Millsboro, DE at the Administrative Building during the week of August 4-8th. 
  • All interns must complete a mid-way evaluation (week 5) along with a final evaluation (week 10)

Education/Experience Requirements 

  • Must be currently enrolled and pursuing an Associate or Bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university.
  • Passion and excitement in the field of HR
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Creative skill set, experience in Canva
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT).
