TITLE: Warehouse Lead
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Well established paper packaging manufacturer in Coppell is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Lead/Forklift Driver. This position will require driving the forklift and working in the warehouse.
The Warehouse Lead will work directly with the forklift drivers to ensure safe and efficient storage, picking and incoming and outgoing shipments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be experienced in operating a sit-down and clamp forklift.
- Minimum 2 years of Lead in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
- Proficient with a hand scanner and tablet.
- Possess good language skills (verbal & written) to interpret procedures, comprehend instructions, and to communicate properly with others.
- Be self-motivated, and able to work without close supervision.
- Honest, dependable, safety and quality conscious.
- Bi-lingual preferred.
- Good job history required.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive the incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Document any damaged goods received.
- Load and unload trucks as necessary with a sit-down or clamp forklift and pallet jack.
- Ensure paperwork from all deliveries is given to the proper department.
- Train all new forklift drivers on the clamp truck.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
- Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Fast paced warehouse with exposure to machinery noise.
TRAINING:
- Must complete online and classroom training as required.
VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Must wear corrective lenses if required on driver's license.
