Rosebud Preschool: Toddler Teacher
Rosebud Preschool is seeking an experienced, dedicated full time early childhood educator for the TODDLER ROOM at the only Reggio-Emilia inspired Intergenerational preschool in Portland. We are located on the campus of Rose Villa, a progressive senior living community along the Willamette River.
The Reggio-Emilia approach to early education values art, self-expression, community, and a deep respect for children and childhood. Prior experience with Reggio programs is not required, though we do expect teachers to be interested in learning about and implementing this approach.
Our toddler room is staffed by two co-teachers, who share the responsibility for curriculum planning and implementation, meeting the physical care needs of toddlers, as well as other daily classroom tasks, such as snack and lunch prep, serving, and clean-up and other cleaning responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Enrollment in the CBR database (Central background Registry)
CDA or Associate’s degree preferred
A minimum of one-year prior experience at licensed childcare, or at least Step 6 in ORO
Have the following qualifications/certificates/training – or to complete upon hire
Current First Aid & CPR (infant & child) certificate
Oregon Food Handler’s card
ORO account (Oregon Registry Online)
Recognizing and Reporting Childhood Abuse and Neglect (RRCAN) certificate
Introduction to Childcare Health and Safety certificate
Foundations for Learning certificate
Safe Sleeping for Oregon’s Infants certificate
The ability to keep up with busy toddlers, including engaging with toddlers on their level and frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Logistics:
Monday-Friday, open year-round
Schedule: 7:30-4:30
Hours per week: Teachers typically work 40.5 hours per week, including a paid weekly staff meeting.
Compensation: $20+ an hour, DOE
