Hotel Maintenance

Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED (on-the-job training and experience combination may substitute for education requirement), prior landscaping/ maintenance experience.

an ability to lift 75+ pounds frequently, be able to stand for long periods of time,

is willing/able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers and foliage.

Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing and removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls.

Spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees.

Mow and edge all lawns.

Assist in responding to all guest and staff needs:

Performs elementary painting and repairing of walls, furniture, cabinets, and windows, doors locks and keys.

Performs minor electrical and mechanical repairs.

Performs minor repairs on fans and air conditioners.

Performs routine plumbing repairs.

Performs rough carpentry work.

Performs basic janitorial duties as needed.

Performs grounds work, landscaping, and snow removal.

Assists in administration of special maintenance programs.

Assists in maintenance of departmental tools, workspaces, and equipment.

Know/observes safety precautions and fire safety procedures and emergency action plans and use of fire control/alarm systems and extinguishers.

All other duties as assigned.
