RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to lead and manage large scale projects, while influencing key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive national and regional diversity recruiting strategy aligned with our recruiting goals.
  • Partner with Team Members and HR teams to understand diverse hiring needs, develop tailored recruitment plans, and facilitate diverse candidate pipelines.
  • Engage national diversity organizations, attend conferences, job fairs, and networking events to promote our employer brand and attract diverse talent.
  • Develop strategies that engage Mortenson Team Members in the diverse recruitment strategy.
  • Partner with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team to ensure our recruitment strategy aligns to DEI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with recruitment marketing and communications teams to establish a consistent brand, creating compelling recruitment materials, including job postings, brochures, and social media campaigns.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with diversity organizations, community partners, and external stakeholders to enhance our presence.
  • Identify and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract diverse candidates across various job levels and functions (Experienced, College, Craft).
  • Analyze diversity recruitment metrics, track progress against goals, and provide regular reports and insights to key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on diversity recruitment trends, best practices, and compliance, providing guidance and support to the recruiting team and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field
  • Minimum seven years of recruiting or HR experience or a combination of higher education and experience
  • Previous experience in building/designing diversity recruiting initiatives
  • Experience with large-scale project management
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft office and HRIS/database systems with the ability to learn new systems as necessary
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to execute amid competing demands
  • Strong collaboration and mentoring skills
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication proficiency
  • Ability to effectively train Team Members to ensure the success of our diversity recruitment efforts
  • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Strong detail orientation with the ability to analyze data and draw conclusions from key metrics
  • Understanding of talent acquisition processes and best practices
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
  • Knowledge of inclusive behaviors, and their intended use in developing robust, diverse pipelines of talent
