You will be accountable for establishing work processes, coordination, and achievement of Operational Excellence Initiatives, Asset Target Pictures / Development Plans, and the Capital Investment Strategy.  You will serve as the primary liaison to the Care Chemicals global strategic controlling EM/CS to align and expedite capital project approvals and Operational Excellence reporting. You will work directly with Care Chemical production sites, Global EM Technology, Product Management and Engineering to develop business case justification and technology statements as part of the capital approval process. As a member of the Manufacturing Technical Center Organization, you will interact with all EMN functions as well as enable functions/organizations across BASF in fulfilling the mission of the business and sites, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving operational excellence.

  • Using your business acumen, collaboration, and communication skills, you will be responsible to develop a multi-year capital plan in alignment with the SBU strategies and Asset Target Pictures, including the necessary justification and prioritization for the annual plan, ensuring alignment with all regional stakeholders, EMM, EMT and EM/C.
  • Leveraging your Technical degree, business acumen, and Manufacturing experience, you will oversee, facilitate and participate in the business case development, technology statement development, and payback analysis for NA Capital Projects.
  • Utilizing your results-oriented mindset, along with your strong implementation skills, you will develop and implement regional best practices and influence global practices to coordinate and streamline the Divisional capital project approval processes and ensuring timely completion of all project deliverables.
  • Leveraging your collaboration skills and results orientation, you will implement a robust Asset Target Picture process for North America, including Asset Fingerprints and tracking to achieve demonstrated progress in asset performance / profitability over time while supporting customer needs and market growth.  
  • Applying your entrepreneurial drive and organizational skills, you will support the implementation of Operational Excellence and cost competitiveness initiatives, liaising with the corporate and divisional OpEx platforms to identify and evaluate projects while serving as the key point of contact for KPI tracking and regional reporting for OpEx and Sustainability.
