Full Stack SW Engineer (Fairfax, VA)

Candidates of any experience level are eligible but we are not seeking Managers. Please note candidates would be required to obtain an SCI before you start (typically takes 2 weeks) and a CI Poly down the line (if you do not already have one).

Seeking candidates who have the following:
• Java (latest version preferred
• Linux
• Experience building cloud-based applications/working in a cloud environment
• Kubernetes (plus)

Client offers an incredible Benefits Package that includes a company 401K contribution equivalent to 25% of your annual salary, full benefits likely 100% paid for, and 8 weeks of PTO.

They are hiring Jr/Mid/Sr level, anywhere from $100K-$200K
2-5 years - $100k-$130K
5-10 years -$130K-$160K
10+ $160K-$180K
15+$180-$200K

Notes from client:
All 100% onsite

They will be picky and only want high quality people with technical skills, candidates should be on a SME track as apposed to working their way up in management.

Step 2 is a 30-min technical overview. Step 3 if they make it is an onsite interview.

The higher the clearance the better but they will take people with lower levels and get them the poly's

Client is looking for a Full-Stack Developer to play a lead role in the design, development, and deployment of applications, microservices, APIs, and web applications to a true DevSecOps-enabled hybrid cloud environment. Collaborate with a small team of like-minded developers to implement solutions that will help our customer stand-up a new mission processing environment. You will have the opportunity to utilize an almost endless number of interesting and useful technology stacks, including: Spring Boot, React, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, OpenFaaS, MinIO, Keycloak, Quarkus, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, CI/CD pipelines, Anaconda, Kibana, and much more. This is an opportunity to help chart the direction of a new project, implement best practices in DevSecOps and container orchestration, and introduce new ideas and technologies relating to the design and execution of a new mission area. The ideal candidate shall have strong Full-stack development experience, familiarity with containerization and application security, and be willing to dive in, learn, and contribute.

Required Skills and Experience To be considered for this position,

The candidate must have: ? Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science ? At least 5 years' experience developing with Java ? At least 5 years' experience in Full-stack software development (i.e. client, server, and data tiers) ? At least 5 years' experience working with Object Relational Mapping (ORM) or NoSQL databases ? At least 1 years' experience with containerization and orchestration platforms ? Strong understanding of development best practices, configuration management, and testing ? Strong desire to constantly learn how new tools, frameworks, and technologies that can further the customer's mission and provide value to the end-user ? Ability and desire to work independently; i.e. given general tasking, develop subtasks and/or approach to satisfy task objectives ? Proven capability to learn new skills, adapt to shifting priorities and requirements ? Comfortable with the Linux operating system

Desired Skills and Experience

Strong candidates will have one or more of the following: ? Strong familiarity with Java, Docker, Kubernetes, React, NodeJS, MongoDB ? Strong familiarity with Spring Boot and its many utilities/packages ? Well-versed in databases of all kinds, whether relational or NoSQL ? Familiarity with OAuth2 security principles, Keycloak, and OpenID Connect ? Understanding how to protect data at all application levels ? Familiarity with message queue implementations, such as Kafka ? Good understanding of Git, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and CM best practices ? Experience utilizing Test Driven Development
