About the Role:

The role is in Property Solutions, collaborating with stakeholders internal to Swiss Re and externally across the insurance value chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop residential and commercial property pricing and underwriting solutions
  • Analyze claims experience to implement better pricing and underwriting strategies
  • Originate and deliver new product growth strategies for applying Swiss Re's data and analytic assets
  • Monitor the health of Swiss Re's private flood portfolio and recommend changes to drive profitable growth and/or reduce portfolio risk


About the Team:

Property Solutions is a global team offering products and solutions to our client base across insurers, brokers, and corporate customers. We drive risk selection, pricing and portfolio steering through risk intelligence products, risk modelling, and insurance product innovation. About You:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a catastrophe-exposed pricing or product analyst/management role. Flood pricing or modeling experience highly preferred.
  • Associate or near-Associate level of the Casualty Actuarial Society or Canadian Institute of Actuaries
  • Experience developing pricing plans using catastrophe modeling, as well as based on historical data
  • Experience with statistical models including GLMs. R coding experience preferred
  • Admitted market rate filing experience is a plus


For Armonk, NY, the estimated base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $156,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
