Summary

This position plans and implements the Nutrition and Dietetic Services for the Division of Medical Services, Community Health of the Fort Peck Service Unit located in Poplar, MT. The incumbent reports to the Supervisory Nurse Specialist or designee.

Duties

• Counsel patients and families in nutrition principles, medical nutritional therapy (MNT) plans, food selection and economics, adapting plans to the individual's lifestyle and resources.
• Provide comprehensive diabetes education for patients, staff and community.
• Help develop, administer and evaluate nutrition programs for outpatients with normal therapeutic diet needs.
• Participate in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition education.
