PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The PT Coordinator III will be responsible for maintaining the Teaching and Learning Center(TLC) website and intranet site,providing technical support, facilitating staff professional development sessions, and tracking the check-out of instructional materials from the TLC.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maintain the Teaching and Learning Center website by using OpenText website management editor to ensure that all information posted is up to dateManage the Teaching and Learning Center intranet sites by using SharePoint to update the TLC intranet site with announcements, add session documents, post session announcements, update the Calendar of events, and include additional contentFacilitate the Staff/Faculty iPad programs by offering professional development opportunities for staff to learn more about using iPads and support for newest iOS changes. Maintain all the check out and inventory data for the iPad programsCreate the Week at a Glance document each week to advertise all the upcoming professional development opportunitiesProvide technical training and support on how to use the LSC intranet and how to use SharePoint. Work with people seeking help on an individual basis and offer sessions on how to use SharePointProvide technical support to faculty, staff and students seeking assistanceAssist supervisors and managers in the coordination of departmental events and projects related to professional development. Coordinate, develop, and present professional development programs and opportunities to staffTrack and report all instructional material check-out dataCreate the TLC Weekly Flyer to be posted around campusCreate faculty suite signs. Update the signs in front of every faculty suite with picture, name, title, and office number of each faculty member at the beginning of each semesterCreate the new faculty newsletterthat is sent out to all LSC facultyDesign and deliver professional development sessions for staff, both face-to-face and online. Present and assist in the facilitation and implementation of LSC 20|20 Cultural BeliefsPlan and design a variety of print and non-print materials and layouts for advertisements for professional development and instructionSupport the implementation of department events, including helping set up event spacesOversee the inventory of the TLC Kindles and iPadsResponsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Uses technical proficiency in major instructional hardware and software, typically developed through job-related training and on-the-job experienceDemonstrated computer literacy with common office software, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.Ability to learn new systems and train others on themEffective communication and organizational skillsAbility to work under minimal supervision

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:  

Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipmentInterface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the positionWork is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's degree and at least1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
