Position: Radiology Service Engineer II
Location: South Suburban hospital; Hazel Crest, IL.
Full Time; 1st Shift
Major Responsibilities:
- Analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs highly complex diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment and systems utilizing established electronic test and measurement equipment and techniques. Installs, calibrates and tests highly complex new imaging equipment and/or systems.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
A valid driver's license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.Education Required:
High School Diploma or GEDExperience Required:
Typically requires 2 years of experience in biomedical imaging, which includes digital imaging technology, and networking technology.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office or similar products (primarily Word and Excel). Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of networking technology.Demonstrated ability to multi-task several projects.Excellent human relations and communications skills.Valid state driver's license.Demonstrated leadership ability.Use of personal vehicle for travel to various sites is required/expected.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Walks most of the workday as well as stands, sits, lifts, bends, and reaches above shoulders throughout the day.Must be able to:- lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist.- lift up to 20 lbs. over the head.- carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.Must be able to:- push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.- perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.Work environment may contain dust, dirt, fumes and odors.Exposed to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards as well as blood and body fluids, thus protective clothing must be worn as necessary.Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.Incumbent required to travel, thus will be exposed to road and weather conditions.This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent.
