Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy and collegial Gastroenterology team in Bloomington, IN
Job Description:
- Full-Time, Day Shift
- Monday-Friday
- 8 or 10-hour shift options
- No weekends, no call
- 75% outpatient, 25% inpatient
- Join a team of 6 physicians and 3 other APPs
- Care for adult patients (18+) with acute and chronic GI diseases
Key Responsibilities:
- APPs see the majority of our outpatient clinic volume, including new referrals when appropriate.
- Evaluate, assess and treat patients, with physician consultation as need.
- Order entry for medications and outpatient testing.
- Provider will be a resource for the staff
- Refer out to other services as needed
- Provider will support physician with inpatient rounding on GI service and be point of contact for Hospitalist/ED consults
Qualifications:
- Must be board certified or board eligible
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification required
- Master's degree required
- GI/Endoscopy or Primary Care experience preferred
- If new graduate, GI clinical rotation required

Hospital Overview
The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.
At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
