Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, experienced, and energetic barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso drinks, along with other beverages and light snacks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area. Engage with guests, taking orders, answering questions, and providing recommendations. Handle cash and operate the Micros computer system efficiently. Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed. Uphold Starbucks' standards for hospitality and service excellence.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous barista experience and knowledge of coffee-making terminology required. Prior experience as a server is helpful but not mandatory. Communication: Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members. Customer Service: Strong hospitality skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Technical Skills: Experience with the Micros computer system is preferred. Cash Handling: Prior experience handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system is required. Age Requirement: Must meet the minimum age requirement of the jurisdiction.

Physical Guidelines:

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6-8 hours per shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity required to operate coffee-making equipment and perform cleaning tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant movement.

Work Hours:

Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
