Gastroenterology Full-Time position in Decatur, Alabama

A well-established community hospital is seeking a **Gastroenterologist** to
join our growing GI team. This position is part of our succession planning
efforts as we prepare for a physician retirement, ensuring that we continue to
provide exceptional care and prevent patient migration.








**Position Highlights** :






* **Employed position** with a reputable hospital.
* **4.5-day work week** with the clinic open Monday-Thursday.
* **1:4 call rotation** , covering clinic, hospital, and ED calls with minimal night calls and manageable weekend consults.
* Join a dedicated GI team consisting of a GI surgeon and an experienced Nurse Practitioner who manages new consults.



**Practice & Surgical Overview**:






* **Clinic** : Includes 3 exam rooms, a private office, in-house lab, and sees an average of 20-24 patients per day.
* **Surgery** : Flexibility to schedule up to 3.5 days of surgery per week, handling a wide range of general GI procedures, including colonoscopies, EGDs, and ERCPs (preferred but not required).
* State-of-the-art facilities with dedicated GI suites both in the **ASC** and the **OR** , supported by a highly trained surgical staff.



**Compensation & Benefits**:






* **Guaranteed base salary of $600,000** , plus wRVU production bonuses.
* **Sign-on bonus**
* Full benefits package, including **malpractice coverage with tail** , **PTO** , **CME allowance** , and **retirement plans**.
