Senior Revenue Accounting Analyst

Position Overview:

The Senior Revenue Accounting Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and optimizing revenue-generating activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles to collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of ASC 606 on revenue recognition processes and systems. This role must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• RFP and Contract Review. Ensuring that the process is complete/accurate.
• Establishing the annual SSP pricing; recording quarterly revenue adjustments including open item calculations
• Monthly reconciliation and reporting on consolidated revenue (Oracle to GL)
• Maintaining up to date revenue process documentation from start to end
• Assist in annual audit and establishing internal audit processes
• Reviewing credit impacts and assessing if a credit reserve is required
• Integrating acquisitions into our revenue processes, monthly reviews and memos
• Drafting of White Papers and/or new policies on compliance with ASC 606 or any applicable GAAP regulation(s).
• UAT on new SKU/product and ensuring that the production environment matches what was tested

Qualifications:

• Ideal candidate has an auditing background, along with revenue recognition experience for a Software company. Previous leadership experienced would be considered an advantage.
• This position requires interacting with all levels of the organization. As accounting rules do not always logically follow business transactions, this position requires the ability to provide Snr Management with risk assessments for actions they are considering or have taken.
• Expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and experience leading ASC 606 implementation projects
• 5-7 years of experience
• Bachelor degree or equivalent
