Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sustainability to join our team and drive our sustainability efforts as we scale. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing a comprehensive framework for sustainability initiatives, creating a strategy aligned with the company's vision and principles, and leading and developing a team to execute these initiatives. As the Vice President, Sustainability, this role will report into our Chief Operating Officer.
QualificationsWhat you'll get to do:
- Create a sustainability strategy aligned with the company's vision and principles, ensuring that sustainability is integrated into all aspects of the business.
- Develop a comprehensive framework for sustainability initiatives, including setting goals and targets, defining key performance indicators, and establishing a roadmap for implementation.
- Create structure reporting mechanisms to monitor and track progress against sustainability goals and objectives.
- Lead and develop a team of sustainability professionals, providing guidance and support to help them succeed in their roles.
- Manage sustainability projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure buy-in and support for sustainability initiatives.
- Build relationships with external partners, including government agencies, NGOs, and industry associations, to leverage resources and expertise in support of sustainability goals.
- Monitor and report on progress against sustainability goals, providing regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations and best practices, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay ahead of future policy and regulatory impacts related to sustainability, ensuring that the company is well-positioned to respond to changing requirements.
- Build and lead a high-performance team, providing coaching and development opportunities. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes excellence.
Who you are:
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in sustainability or related field, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve common goals.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of current sustainability trends and best practices, with the ability to anticipate and respond to future challenges and opportunities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high growth environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. sustainability, environmental science, business administration) required; Master's degree preferred.

The salary range for this role is $235,000 per year - $250,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
