Our onsite Program Management team in Chicago, IL is looking to add an experienced and collaborative Project Manager - Civil in support of a multi-million-dollar airport capital program. We are tasked with managing all capital improvement projects at Chicago Midway International Airport.
Reporting directly to the Program Projects Manager, your responsibilities will include management of the design team’s appointed Consultants, partnering with representatives from the client, management of the appointed Construction Manager At-Risk (CMR). Stakeholder coordination with CDA departments, interface management, design and construction oversight, reporting, problem solving, risk assessments and preparation of presentation material, providing day-to-day project and technical management of activities.
You’ll manage and track project level scope of work, risk, cost, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and environmental (design and construction). You’ll manage project Value Engineering activities and provide oversight and contribution to ongoing planning, design, and construction activities. You’ll provide input on project delivery methods, contract activities, and project execution plan. You’ll interface the project with the Diversity Equity and Inclusion team, facilitate resolution of technical and contractual issues (design and construction), manage the designers and CMR contracts including contract negotiations, and monitor and report on progress and issues affecting the assigned projects and presents details of various phases of the assigned projects to the Client. You’ll recommend to Client resources and priorities needed to support assigned projects while monitoring application of QA/QC standards and the design review process. This will include miscellaneous technical reviews and scope development, review work product for completeness, quality and timeliness and designs for adequacy and unambiguous information while providing input to and support design decision tracking database.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
10+ years of experience managing airfield civil projects from inception to design, through construction and project close out
Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building
Valid drivers license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check
Ability to work onsite full time at Midway International Airport with the program management team
