Data Science Manager

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of deep industry experience in predictive& algorithmicmodeling, data science, anddataanalysis, specifically with experience in developing FinTech products.
  • Experience in startup, scale and exits and/or entrepreneurial environments.
  • Experience with ML fields, e.g.,predictive analytics and financial modeling, statistical learningtheory.
  • Experience indata scientist role building and mentoring.
  • Experience withmaintainingand monitoringML models in a production environment.
  • Expertisein modelling& buildingsystemsusing Python.
  • Experience in diving into data to discover hidden patterns, using data visualization tools, writing SQL, and working with modern tools to develop models.
  • Experience writing and speaking about technical concepts to business, technical, and lay audiences and giving data-driven presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Fullyaccountablefor the success and failure of the Data Science teamtechnical deliveries.
  • Collaborate with business domain subject matter experts in various departments to understand the problem and theobjectives.
  • Research and build innovative predictive statistical models for all areas of the business.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for a non-technical audience.
  • Maintain, tune, improve model behavior with live data for the company's credit decision model for lending operations to drive profitability.
  • Provide mentorship to junior data scientists in aspects of machine learning,dataand software engineering, andassistthem with practical guidance, when needed.
  • Strong teaching and mentoring skills for the purpose of building up talent and delegating responsibilities to ensure maximum productivity and grow the team
  • Dynamic working style able to handle many moving pieces at once.
