Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor/Roving Janitor to oversee the quality and efficiency of our cleaning operations. This role involves supervising janitorial staff, ensuring compliance with company standards, and performing cleaning duties as needed. The ideal candidate will be flexible, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision: Oversee and support janitorial staff during assigned shifts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations.
• Training: Provide training and ongoing support to janitorial staff, ensuring they understand and follow company procedures and safety protocols.
• Scheduling: Assist with scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and special projects.
• Cleaning Duties: Perform cleaning tasks as needed, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.
• Supply Management: Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to ensure availability.
• Customer Service: Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of staff performance, cleaning activities, and any incidents or issues that arise during shifts.
• Flexibility: Be available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in janitorial or facilities maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and meet drug & alcohol policy requirements, including pre-employment and random drug screens.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
