Our employee-owned and integrated team of multi-disciplined engineering, design, and planning professionals has an opportunity available for a Graduate Traffic Engineer in Saint Paul As a member of our team, you work alongside a group of engineers, designers, and technicians who have established a reputation for generating safe and efficient designs for complex transportation infrastructure systems for the Department of Transportation, local agencies, and design-build contractors. You will be responsible for observing and collecting traffic data, performing intersection evaluations, completing traffic and corridor studies, and conducting analyses using simulation and modeling software. You will also be responsible for preparing preliminary and final designs and developing construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, and signing/striping.
For this opportunity, we are seeking a qualified candidate who currently resides or plans to relocate within a regular commuting distance of our office in Saint Paul, MN. Flexible work arrangements (3 days in office / 2 days remote per week) will be considered for those who have demonstrated an ability to work successfully in a hybrid work environment by displaying self-motivation, initiative, teamwork, and strong communication skills. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in traffic or transportation engineering.
  • Experienced professional with two to six years of related traffic study and plan development experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Advantageous Qualifications
  • Previous experience or training with AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
  • Prior experience or general working knowledge of traffic analysis software, including Synchro / SimTraffic, VISSIM, RODEL, or CORSIM.
