Job Title: Pelletizer Operator

Location: Gainesville, TX

Shift :

  • Day Shift Hours: 7:45 am - 8:00 pm (2-2-3 shift rotation)

Starting Pay: Competitive starting hourly wage of $19.00 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Know and understand the quality and material requirements for all products.
  • Monitors operating parameters of product and extrusion equipment to confirm that product materials and quality requirements are being met.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of all ground product dimensions on reports and accurately tracks weights, and labeling products appropriately.
  • Ensures all unused tooling is returned to the tool room.
  • Provide all clean-up in the grinding area, including waste disposals.
  • Follows all company-standard and position-specific safety requirements, and reports any unsafe working conditions or broken equipment to the Extrusion Supervisor
  • Performs any other duties assigned by Supervisor and/or Production Manager

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to perform simple math, add, subtract, multiply, divide, and take measurements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the job duties of Downstream Operators, Material Handlers, and Reel Builders
  • Knowledge and understanding of the grinder, smooth core procedures, and operation.
  • Valid lift truck/forklift license
  • Working knowledge of grinders, extruders, vacuum systems, resin systems, and quality control standards

OCCUPATIONAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance.
  • Work on foot around hot machinery for 12 hours.
  • Maneuver through different areas by stepping over and/or bending under objects.
  • Mobility to allow frequent entrance and exits from the lift truck.
  • Wear necessary safety equipment, including dust masks, earplugs, and face shields.
  • Climb ladders, listen to equipment, look for defects, and sense temperature changes in the finished product.

• Your commitment to wearing gloves, eye protection, and steel toe boots always, and dust mask, earplugs, hard hats, and face shields as necessary.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly workspace.
• Your ability to lift to 50 pounds without assistance, as well as the ability to push and pull pipe coils.
• Your ability to work most of the time indoors on the plant floor, with heat, dust, and noise, and work some of the time outdoors in any weather condition.
• Your ability to remain in a stationary, standing position 80-100% of the time. Must be able to squat, bend, or stoop as much as 25% of the time on some days.
