Overview:
At Utah Valley Specialty Hospital, we are passionate about patient care We provide critical care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries and has earned The Joint Commission’s Respiratory Failure Certification. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. At our 40-bed hospital, we provide specialized treatment throughout Utah and some areas of Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and Nevada.
We are seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our team of passionate patient caregivers

Qualifications:
Required Skills:
One (1) year experience in Business Office or Admissions Office in a medical setting preferred.
OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Qualifications/Skills:
Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
Ability to work closely and professionally with others.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating with patients and their families to ensure all admission requirements to the facility are met, and verifies insurance coverage. Acts as a liaison to managed care companies, facilitating admissions, hospital returns, and referral source. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
