    Job Description

  • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.Prepares process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Provides technical assistance to maintenance and operations as necessary to meet the business needs.Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.Develop and test effective automated and manual systemsResolve issues and delays in productionKeeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; and managing special service.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

The Successful Applicant

B.S degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Manufacturing, Industrial or equivalent)3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment

Skills/Competencies
Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar roleKnowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool designFamiliarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniquesCommitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulationsWell-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office)Project management skillsProblem-solving abilityUnderstanding of lean manufacturing tools and conceptsTeamwork skills
