Summary

Under the direction of the Learning and Development Manager, the Instructional Designer is responsible for creating compelling learning activities and course content, working with subject matter experts to identify training needs, applying instructional design theories and methods, and utilizing multimedia tools to enhance the learning process in a fun, energetic and dynamic manner befitting a world class gaming and resort hospitality enterprise.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelors degree in instructional design, adult learning or in a related field required; Masters degree preferred.  3 to 5 years of work experience in instructional design and a working knowledge of adult learning theory or a combination of work and related education or training.

Must have:

excellent facilitation and class room training skills knowledge of eLearning authoring tools knowledge of Microsoft products excellent written and verbal communication skills excellent customer service and hospitality skills excellent critical thinking skills ability to work harmoniously with others and be a team player a professional appearance at al times  a flexible work schedule and be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays if needed.
