2. JOB PURPOSE

Strategy defines the long-term direction of the organization in which its resources are matched to the economic climate and overall business unit goals. Manufacturing strategy is defined as a sequence of decisions that, over time, enables a business unit to achieve a desired manufacturing structure, infrastructure, and set of specific capabilities.  

The primary aim of a manufacturing strategy is to ensure that all long-term manufacturing developments are congruent with the overall business strategy or competitive priorities of the firm.

 

3.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure and approve Business Plan creation, implementation & management via PDCA

  • Develop, approve & implement annual and reforecast budget.  Responsible to all budgetary dept gaps.  Approve POs & Invoices against Budget.

  • Create and provide direction for Business Plan Theme Activity

  • Give direction / support the Team Leads within Dept to carry out change management

  • Interface and coordinate related activities with other Unit Leads (Assembly, In House, Planning, etc)

  • Continue to lead and support the evolution of the new organization that supports company direction

  • Ad hoc reporting – BP, Trouble or Other in Company and Business Unit Level Meetings

  • Assess overall manpower utilization and efficiency and provide direction on opportunity to improve
