United States Nutanix Full time

Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.

The Opportunity

As a Nutanix Solutions Architect (SA) you will be responsible for accelerating the adoption of Nutanix products in the Healthcare space globally, especially in relation to Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) and Medical Imaging technologies.

This role is part of the Solutions & Performance Engineering team at Nutanix, which is part of our R&D Engineering and closely tied to core Product Management and Development activities.

Nutanix is best-of-breed when it comes to Hybrid Cloud, enabling customers with a common operating model for cloud infrastructure that spans both public and private clouds. Our Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) supports multiple hypervisors, OEM hardware vendors, public clouds, and Kubernetes distributions.

About the Team

Nutanix's Solutions & Performance Engineering team is a diverse and dynamic group spread across different locations. Despite the geographic dispersion, the team fosters a collaborative and supportive culture, where team members work together to achieve common goals and support each other in their professional growth.

You will report to the Senior Director of Solutions and Performance Engineering for EUC and Healthcare. As part of the team, you will enjoy the flexibility of working remotely. This setup allows for a healthy work-life balance and the opportunity to work from any location that suits your needs and productivity.

Travel requirements for this role are on an as-needed basis, meaning you may be required to travel to meet clients, attend events, or collaborate with other team members when necessary. Nutanix values face-to-face interactions and understands the importance of building relationships beyond virtual communication.

Your Role

You will be responsible for the architecture and configuration of Healthcare 3rd party Independent Software Vendors (ISV) on the Nutanix Platform. You will work closely with these Healthcare ISV vendors as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME). Your overall Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) will be:

  • With the help of benchmark testing engineers on your team, you will be responsible to deliver benchmark testing results to validate the performance of ISV products on our platform.

  • You will work with our product engineering teams to influence our roadmap in order to improve the Nutanix platform performance from the perspective of improving all Healthcare ISV benchmark test results.

  • You will define the configuration best practices to maximize the performance of Healthcare ISV products on the Nutanix Platform.

  • You will evangelize the integration of Healthcare ISV and Nutanix by developing documentation artifacts (whitepapers, speaking engagements, blogs, videos, etc.) to enable our sales teams.

  • You will provide direct field support to global sales teams in the largest/most complex deals that have the biggest impact on revenue and increase adoption, retention, and overall customer experience for our largest customers.

The successful candidate for this role must be a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated professional who is a thought-leader in the Healthcare industry to whom our ISV partners, internal sales teams, and customers will positively respond.

What You Will Bring

Candidates should be technically strong and be able to establish credibility with technical leaders in large enterprise accounts. You will enable Nutanix sales teams even though you will not have a sales quota tied to your compensation. However, successful candidates will need to have the knowledge and experience in sales methodologies and a keen focus on driving positive business outcomes. Candidates should also have the following:

  • 6+ years’ experience in a customer-facing technical role

  • One or more desired: Enterprise application experience with Epic, Meditech, ChipSoft, and/or Cerner systems.

  • Direct experience designing and deploying enterprise-grade and large-scale healthcare solutions.

  • Deep enterprise-level architecture expertise (e.g Hybrid Cloud, Database, VDI, Storage Infrastructure, etc.) including expertise with virtualization technologies and datacenter consolidation.

  • Nice-to-Have: Industry certifications like Nutanix NPX, VMware VCDX, TOGAF, Cisco CCIE, etc.

  • Experience working with large-scale Enterprise Storage solutions like Files (SMB, NFS & CIFS) and Object Storage.

  • Familiarity with benchmarking methodologies predominantly focused on compute and storage (e.g. HammerDB, GenerateIO, DiskSpd, etc).

  • Nice-to-Have: Adept at performance tuning at the OS kernel and storage layers to meet application performance targets set by 3rd party software running on the Nutanix Platform.

  • Experienced in working with different cultures across the globe

  • Hands-on / Do-What-It-Takes attitude to drive success

  • Ability to effectively work independently and remotely with a global team of high-performing technical architects.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with both customers and internal cross-functional teams.

  • A structured thinker with strong presentation and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, determine urgency, and execute detailed action plans with minimal oversight

  • Highest level of personal and professional ethics and integrity
