The role is encouraged to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/standard methodologies to improve our current services and technologies.
Role: AWS Engineer (Research Informatics)
Location: Thousand Oaks -CA USA(Hybrid)
Roles/Responsibilities :
This role involves tackling unique scientific challenges and making a direct impact on our research outcomes by building AWS services. You will work closely with scientists and other stakeholders to deliver setup of AWS services mainly AWS HPC parallel cluster and SLURM configurations.
Works with the Research Informatics group to support scientific research
Creates and supports AWS HPC setup, parallel cluster and SLURM setup
Coordinate with vendors to setup systems in AWS cloud environments
Liaises with Global IT to support policies
Liaises with IT to schedule changes and updates for systems
Research Informatics and IT teams.
Required Qualifications :
Strong experience in AWS
Experience in AWS HPC, Parallel cluster and SLURM setup
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields of study.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $113,000 to $132,500 and will depend on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
