Job PurposeThe main responsibilities of this position will be to support the customer Sales / Business Development Teams activities regarding management of new programs as well as changes to existing programs. In addition, the Sales Coordinator will support the Account Managers in satisfying customer requests. It is an ideal position to prepare qualified individuals to advance into an Account Management position.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Ownership of customer price list tracking and modification
- Liaison between Dana Sales and SSO Pricing and A/R teams, to resolve issues in payment, price registration.
- Direct ownership of prototype process and activities with the customer from RFQ to final product delivery.
- Coordinate customer change requests and new business quotes by initiating Inquiries, cost estimates, and quotations.
- Direct ownership of the inquiry process- writing, tracking, and guiding via consistent follow up with all parties involved.
- Participate in customer meetings (purchasing, engineering, platform teams, etc.) when necessary.
- Assist Account Managers in the resolution of pricing, debit, credit, and/or special requests to meet the customer’s requirements.
- Involvement with all programs through pilot build, run at rate, SOP launch, ramp-up and finally a formal lessons learned session.
- Interface both verbally and in written format with both external and internal customers cross functional teams (Purchasing, Operations, Finance)
- Preproduction/Production Audits.
- Management of VAVE ideas, issues, and progress.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferred or may consider equivalent work experience.
- Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or original equipment services (OES) experience preferred.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Proficient in Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
- Capable of handling multiple priorities and tasks.
- Must be effective in a team environment and be able to work independently.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact in a professional manner with internal/external customers and manufacturing & assembly facilities.
- Must be able to travel overnight both domestically and internationally and periodically work non-traditional business hours if needed.
- Some technical aptitude.
- Time and priority management is a must: Ability to organize, balance, and consistently meet multiple internal and external deadlines.
- Ability to work productively across all functions and organizational levels.
- Strong dedication and commitment to quality customer service and satisfaction while following through on assigned projects.
- Proven analytical, problem solving, presentation, verbal, written, communication, and organizational skills.
