The Continuous Improvement Coordinator will design, implement, and sustain a Continuous Improvement process and culture at their assigned location(s). Areas of focus will include: Digitalization, Lean and Six Sigma, OpEx Measures, Sustainability, and Culture. The Continuous Improvement Coordinator will lead without formal authority, working with stakeholders from the shop floor to the Site Leadership Team. The Continuous Improvement Coordinator will align their activities with the strategic objectives of the Site (as part of the Site Leadership Team) as well as those of the broader APN Continuous Improvement Team to establish a level of consistency across the locations.

  • Creating, implementing, and sustaining of Lean management systems on the shop floor, including: 5S, visual management, standard work, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
  • Participating in or facilitating Site annual planning to align with the Site Development Plan.

  • Facilitating cross-functional improvement events (Kaizen, SMED, Root Cause Analysis, etc.) to eliminate waste and improve safety, efficiency, cost, and quality of production processes.

  • Conducting a needs assessment, creating use cases, and working with NA Digitalization and Site teams to identify applicable solutions and implement them.

  • Working with a cross-functional team, managing Site projects within the database to facilitate capital investment. 

 

If you have...
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preference with a focus in Engineering, Chemistry.
  • Minimum of 2 years in chemical manufacturing industry or other process-related manufacturing industry experience.
  • Demonstrated history of identifying and implementing improvements to technology, processes, equipment, or organizations.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred.
  • Leadership of process improvement events (Quality Circles, Kaizen, SMED, Root Cause Analysis) preferred.
  • Previous implementation of digitalization solutions (IIoT, Industry 4.0, industrial mobility, augmented reality, etc.) and experience in automation of either business or manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Previous ISO 50001 Energy Management or other energy management experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% - domestically. Local day travel, as needed
