The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Technician to provide frontline manufacturing support to production operators, engineering, and quality departments in a team environment on 2nd Shift at our Plymouth, MN or Minnetonka, MN site, supporting our Electrophysiology Medical Device division. In Abbottâs Electrophysiology (EP) business, weâre advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
Hours â Monday through Thursday 4 PM to 2:30 AM (2nd Shift)
What You'll Work On:
â¢Performs troubleshooting of equipment, as well as process and product non-conformances
â¢Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts
â¢Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all operations
â¢Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives to enhance production processes to achieve quality and profitability metrics.
â¢Maintain accurate records to ensure DHR and quality documents are accurate, all parts are traceable and quality issues can be addressed to assure the quality of all products.
â¢Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions.
â¢Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
â¢Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance.
â¢Improve equipment designs to improve line runtime and yields
â¢Perform routine/preventative maintenance on applicable equipment and documentation in InforEAM CMMS
â¢Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
â¢Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
â¢Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
â¢Support all Divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements
â¢Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
â¢2-year technical degree
â¢5+ years experience in comparable role, preferably in medical device industry
Preferred Qualifications
â¢Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting equipment, fixture development, assembly and performing machine and process set-ups.
â¢Experience in GMP, ISO, and FDA controlled environments preferred
â¢Proficient computer, data analysis and report writing skills
