Summary

The successful candidate will work within the Heilbronner Lab and be responsible for performing data research and analysis to support laboratory operations. This will include but is not limited to, performing advanced diffusion tractography, tract-tracing and polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography analyses. They will perform computational analyses on preexisting data. They will also build software tools, particularly for visualization.

Job Duties

Performs diffusion tractography analyses in DIPY. Builds new visualization software for polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography data. Performs multimodal joint estimation of fiber orientations using tract-tracing, diffusion tractography, and PS-OCT data. Performs annotations of tract-tracing data. Assists with the development of machine learning algorithms for brain segmentation and annotation. Assists with designing, creating, and maintaining business intelligence reports and tools in support of clinical, business, and research operations at the College. Performs data analysis utilizing appropriate analytics methodologies and fosters data-driven decision-making by providing valuable consultative analytics support to executives and service line leadership, in accordance with regulatory standards as appropriate. Participates in cross-functional performance improvement team efforts, ensuring appropriate analysis of data, data accuracy, and data availability. Collects business requirements from appropriate stakeholders, design, code, validate, deploy, and maintains the semantic layer and metadata for complex reports and reporting tools, creating efficient and appropriately distributed solutions. Develops code with structured query language (SQL). Researches and applies knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform business decisions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in imaging science, computer science, computational neuroscience. Proficient in Python and additional programming languages. Prior publications with brain imaging science.
