COMPENSATION:
Hourly Pay: $32.00 This position is covered under the Teamster Mechanic Agreement
JOB SUMMARY:
General duties include responsible for the repair on all warehouse moving equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
-Repair, service and maintain all material handling equipment including electric and gas forklifts, transporters, tuggers, and electric and manual pallet jacks.
-Decision making and problem solving required
-Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs with minimal assistance
-Ability to work with minimal supervision
-Must furnish basic tools
-Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all levels of individuals doing business from within and outside the Company.
-Must be able to work night shifts and weekends
-Perform repairs in other shop departments as needed
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
-Must have a valid California Driver License with clear record
-Minimum of four (4) years of forklift maintenance and repair experience
or equivalent combination of education and experience
-Experience with repairing and maintaining propane forklifts along with scrubbers
-Strong electrical troubleshoot experience with A/C, D/C, and current
-Strong knowledge and experience with hydraulic diagnostic
-Must furnish basic hand tools and roll-a-way toolbox
-Must pass a physical and pre-employment drug test
